THE SICK RACER PART II
Last week has been a hectic week for me. I did not expect that HD slight fever make him end up in hospital.
Just as I thought that his fever had subsided, his temperature shoot up again on Tuesday evening. Brought him to the doctor for the second time. He was ok for a while but by Wednesday morning, he kept vomiting plus diarrhoea making him weaker and crying non-stop. I panicked. Sent him to KKH A&E for further treatment. He was warded on the spot due to dehydration plus the uninvited virus playing in his small stomach. He was put on drip not one not two but total of 5 bottles! On top of that, he was not allowed to take anything. Not even a sip of water. Poor baby. He kept asking for milk and biscuits but I cant do much to help. Seeing him begging for food really break my heart. Cant bear to see him crying and without the present of the nurses and doctors, DH let him try the taste of milo. Not much though but at least it helps to clear his dry throat. Night time was a nightmare. He woke up in the middle of the night begging me to bring him home. Every hour when the nurses came to take his temperature, he will shout TAK NAK and pushed the nurses away. By Friday, his fever had gone but the drip is still on. He could now be given plain water and hydrolic for a start but this boy does not like the taste and hence the drip will still be there. Negotiate with the doctor again asking if we could give him something else instead of that medicated-smell liquid. He was given another choice either ribena or barley. If he could take either of them, then by noon they could feed him with porridge. Praying hard and yes he drank 1 cup of ribena! Good boy! So the fish porridge could now be his lunch. I have some pictures of him during his 3 days 2 nights stay at the hotel. ![]() First day after the nurse poked him to be put on drip, he slept with tears rolling down his eyes. ![]() Watching Barney while resting on bed. ![]() Pushed him to the lift lobby to keep him quiet. ![]() Last pose before the drip was taken off. Macam Robocop! Thanks to all for the well wishes. Thanks to those who have been tagging & SMSing. Thanks to those who visited him and showered him with gifts. Thanks to Mummy Indah for the present and the continuous sms for his speedy recovery. Thanks to Ummi for finding the time to visit him together with her three little kiddos. HD says: TENKIU AUNTIES
